Schjetman reef
The Récif Schjetman is probably a phantom island that the Norwegian captain Ole Andreas Schjetman stated to have discovered in 1868. The coordinates which it indicated are. The island was supposed to be 2,8 km long (north in the south) and 0,9 km broad (of is in west).
Since the discovery of Schjetman, several forwardings tried to find this island: the US Alert in 1880, the US Milwaukee in 1923, the US Whippoorwill and the US Tanager in 1924. None found the island. A localization was however reported in 1990 by a sailor to veil of Hawaii.
Two Norwegian Bård Sæther and Arild Solheim undertook in January 2006 a forwarding with S/Y Havaiki to find the island.
