Schinoussa (in Greek modern Σχοινούσα) is an small island of the Cyclades of a little more than two hundred inhabitants, belonging to the archipelago of Small Cyclades in the South-east of Naxos, the west of Amorgos, the North-East of Ios, the north of Santorin (Thira), and encircled by other small islands such Iraklia, Koufonissia and Kéros.

On Schinoussa, there are only dirt tracks beaten and not tarred roads.

The island is fertile: various vegetables and fruit trees and of many olive groves. Fishing has as an outlet only the domestic provisioning.
