Schiltigheim
Schiltigheim is a common French, located in the department of the the Low-Rhine and the area Alsace.
Its inhabitants is called Schilikois ( Schilik is a familiar name, in the agglomeration of Strasbourg, to indicate Schiltigheim, that it is among the French-speaking people or the speakers of Alsatian).
Geography
Located in the agglomeration of Strasbourg, bordering Strasbourg in north, Schiltigheim is also the third city of the the Low-Rhine.
History
The origin of the city goes back to the 9th century, where it was constituted around the castle and of the vault.

- Park of the castle and villa Wenger-Valentine, old property of a family of bankers, built with the site of the castle destroys in 1676.
- Protestant Church, built on the foundations of the medieval vault (organ and sundial of 19th).
Economy
Schiltigheim is called the Cité of the Brewers because of the number of breweries which were established there, as well local (Fischer, Schutzenberger, Adelshoffen) that international (Heineken). However, the Schilikoise beer knew some vexations recently: the Adelshoffen brewery definitively closed in August 2000, just as Schutzenberger in June 2006. The city is also the seat of a company which produces an object belonging to the daily newspaper of French: the Caddie®
