Scenic Course

A scenic course , course-spectacle or expo-course ( Experiment , Walk-Through or Dark Wrinkles in English) is a course with the length of which objects or concepts are put in scene. The succession of these settings in scene thus facilitates the concentration and the assimilation of the visitors.

Three subcategories are distinguished:

  • scenic courses with foot: course museographic or palate of the laughter
  • conveying scenic courses in the coach (scenic coach)
  • conveying scenic courses in the boat (scenic boat)

Palate of the laughter

A palate of the laughter or box to laughing is a scenic course with foot ( Walk-through in English) constituting an open attraction or amusement parks.

During this course, the visitors undergo tests of address, traps unbalancing, or of the optical illusions.

Like example, one can quote the course 3D of the Park Saint-Paul (Oise), the open palates of the laughter or the labyrinths of ices and mirrors.

Scenic conveyer

A scenic conveying or Dark Ride in English is a scenic course, i.e. an attraction or horse-gear made up of a course to the length of which scenic tables are illustrated or played. The succession of these tables thus plunges the visitors in an adventure or experiment.

The conveyers can be regarded as component a hybrid type of attraction being at the same time spectacle and horse-gear. Very often these courses are illustrated using automats or robots called Animatronique S, or Audio-animatronic S. Nevertheless, that is not systematic. Thus one can find conveyers scenic with inanimate tables made up of mannequins even only of fluorescent paintings or lights.

Scenic coach

A scenic coach is a scenic kind of conveying in the form of coach traditional or suspended), of car or train.

Leon Cassidy of the Pretzel Amusement Wrinkles Company invented and patented, in 1928, the first scenic monorail coach.

The examples most known are the " phantom trains " (European name). Among the important scenic coaches are the Futurama with the World Fair of New York in 1939, " White-Snow and the 7 dwarves " , " voyages of Pinocchio " , " Peter Pan' S Flight " and haunted houses of the parks with topics Disney (Haunted Mansion and Phantom Manor), with the Omnimover system.

The system Omnimover was invented and patented by Disney and provides a greater time capacity by proposing a coach each second. The collisions are impossible thanks to the chaining of the coaches which constitutes a train occupying all the length available of the course.

Scenic boat

A scenic boat ( boat wrinkle in English) is a scenic kind of conveyer in the form of boat or boat.

The most known examples are old the " tunnel off coils " or " old millet ". For the Disney parks, one counts in this catégore " Pirate of the Caribbean " , " It' S.A. Small World " or " Sindbad' S Storybook Travels ".
