Scarve (group)
Scarve is a group of Death metal technical French.
History
SCARVE is formed in 1994 with Nancy, when Patrick Martin (rhythmic guitar) and Dirk Verbeuren (battery) join to play extreme a metal style influenced by referential groups such as Death, Coroner, Cynic and Atheist.
After warm welcome received by their first demonstration, Sylvain Coudret (rhythmic guitar and lead) joined SCARVE and takes part in the recording of the first MCD financed " Six Tears Off Sorrow" in 1996, an album of thrash melody and progressive.
In 1998, the arrival of 2 new vocalists, whose Guillaume Bideau (voice death & melody), allows SCARVE to pack his formula.
Distributed in Europe at the beginning of 2000 by Furtive Records and War Music, the first album of SCARVE, " Translucence" , sees 6 members SCARVE to show a more brutal aspect without to give up the complex melodies and the tormented futuristic topics. The production is signed Daniel Bergstrand (inter alia producer of Meshuggah, Strapping Young Lad, Darkane, In Flames).
Listenable Records arrived then, which offered to SCARVE an international contract and dealt with the exit of the second album of the group, " Luminiferous" , once more produced by Daniel Bergstrand. After the arrival of Pierrick Valence (voice death) and Loïc Hake (low), SCARVE embarks in a long promotional round, playing more than 40 shows through all Europe only in 2002, with groups such as Behemoth, Dew-Scented, Tiamat, Pungent Stench, Aborted, No Return, Sinister, Myrkskog, Reclusion, Akercocke, Gojira and Nile whose SCARVE made the first part on their round 2 weeks in Europe. Luminiferous also profited from an American exit through WWIII Music.
In July 2003, SCARVE enters in Dug-Out Studios to Uppsala to Sweden in order to record to them 3rd album, " Irradiant" , shouldered in this task by Daniel Bergstrand and Örjan Örnkloo (ex-Misery Coil Co). This album profits from the appearances Fredrik Thordendal of Meshuggah and Gustaf Jorde de Defleshed, as well as artwork carried out by Dennis Sibeijn (Aborted). " Irradiant" was very accepted in the international community metal, receiving very good chronicles and appearing in the signal of the soundchecks (Rock'n'roll Hardware, Aardschok, etc). The group was entitled also to the cover of the edition of April 2004 of the French magazine Rock Hardware.
