Scaridae

The parrot fishes ( Scaridae ) train a tropical big family of Poisson S with the bright colors, distributed on all the surface of the sphere. The fish parrots abound in the Pacific Ocean, around the reefs of Corail: they can live only in warm water. Their name comes from their kind of hooked Bec making think of that of a parrot. They make use of it to crush the Coquillage S and the coral of which they are nourished. Its teeth are so sharp-edged and so powerful that they can cut a wire. The majority of these fish measure to the maximum 40 cm. Some, however, exceed 90 cm. It seems that the flesh of some is toxic.
