Saynète

A saynète is small a Comédie Bouffon, halfway between the Opérette and the comic song.

Drawn from the Spanish Theater, this kind was practiced in France from. It could be the equivalent of a Intermède.

Saynète is also a word recommended to francize the word English Sketch.
