Sayadaw U Pandita
Sayadaw U pandita is one of the contemporary Masters of the Bouddhisme Theravada.
Biography
Sayadaw U Pandita is born in Burma and is ordered monk at the seven years age. It follows the way taught by Mahasi Sayadaw.
Starting from 1951, it goes in many countries of Asia, in Europe and with the the United States to teach the meditation Vipassana there.
He is currently the abbot of a monastery with Rangoon.
Teaching
In the line of Ledi Sayadaw and Mahasi Sayadaw, Sayadaw U Pandita refers to the literature theravadin and thus primarily with the Tipitaka.
Sayadaw U Pandita describes how the yogi practitioner vipassana reaches four vipassana jhanas , meeting peace more and more while meditating, until the stage of bhanga nupassana occurs, dissolution. The yogi will walk on then towards the stage of the equanimity towards all the phenomena and will reach the fourth vipassana jhana .
