Biography and musical career

Lady Saw , of her true name Marion Hall, is a singer of reggae dancehall, born on July 12th, 1972 in Jamaica. It signs its first album at VP Records in 1994 ( Lover Girl ) and continuous from exits under the same label although it created its own recording company recently, Hall Productions. She dissociates herself by her provocative side and from the raw words which allowed him to impose itself in the medium of the dancehall almost exclusively male. It is, according to the artist, a manner with it of fighting against the sexism and the machism which it considers omnipresent in the industry of the reggae, but also in Jamaica. It appears in the film Made In Jamaica of Jerome Laperrousaz.
