Saw III

Saw III is the continuation of the films Saw and Saw II of the Saga Saw carried out by Darren Lynn Bousman; it left the October 27th 2006 at the time of Halloween to the the United States, and the November 22nd 2006 in France, where it was prohibited at least of 18 ans.

Synopsis

The Killer with the puzzle disappeared. With its news apprentie Amanda (Shawnee Smith), that which draws the strings from the cruel plays and complexes which terrified a community and diverted the police force has escaped with the capture. While the police force demene to try to give the hand on him, this genius machiavelic decided to take again its play terrifying with the assistance of Amanda. Doctor Lynn Denlon and Jeff do not know it yet, but they are the new pawns of the part which will start…

“Plays” (attention: reveal parts of film)

The plays or traps are studied by machiavelic the criminal who forces his victims of the sadistic choices to leave himself there, here still in this new opus we find a series of it.

chains: with the Lionsgate Film Panel of 2006 with San Diego was diffused a scene showing a man alone and connected in a classroom. Its play : to leave the part before the bomb filled with nails posed beside him does not explode. For that, it must tear off the chains fixed on its skin.

"The angel of Mort" : a woman is suspended in an apparatus whose claws passed in its belly. In front of it, a vat filled with acid in which a key is dissolving. Its play : to plunge its hand in the vat of acid in order to recover the key before this one is not dissolved and before the machine does not start, breaking it in an abrupt way.

Lynn, a doctor who neglects her husband and his children, and who is not worried much any more about his patients, is removed by Amanda who takes it along to the bedside of Jigsaw. It is found with a collar around the blow connected to the heart-rate monitor of the killer and will have to take care that this one lives time to see its last play achieving itself. If he dies or if she flees, its collar explodes.

Jeff, a man whose son was killed by a roadhog who bailed out only one light custodial sentence, will have to undergo a series of test and each time will have to make the choice suffer and forgive or kill those which are at the origin of its sorrow:

Cold shower: one of the traps revealed in hangs to watch a woman suspended in a Cold room. It could have helped Jeff by its testimony in the accident and thus have sent the roadhog in prison for several years, but it made the bad choice flee and not testify. Around it, a structure which projects water on its naked body, an act of torture similar to that conceived by infamous the Elizabeth Bathory, Jeff will have to choose between being burned cold to recover the key which will release it or to let it die cold in the ice which recovers its body.

Drowning: the judge who pronounced the light sorrow of prison is connected at the bottom of a tank which fills slowly of the entrails of damaged and crushed pigs. Jeff will have to make the choice burn all the businesses of his/her late son to recover the key which will release it or to let it drown.

"Chevalet": the roadhog who crushed the son of Jeff is hung on a structure which will twist all the members of the body to him. The key to release it is connected to a rifle; Jeff will have to choose between receiving a discharge of buckshot to release it or look at it dying dislocated in the machine.

forgiveness: a last test awaits Jeff, most terrible of all, that with which nobody would like to be confronted. But it will not be alone with having to face it…

Anecdotes

a very bloody poster!

The marketing teams of LionsGate upset the attitudes with an original idea blood for blood: a poster was printed - after having obtained the agreement of the actor and the recommendations of the Public health - starting from the blood of the actor Tobin Bell (John Kramer: the jigsaw or the killer with puzzle). It should be noted that a gift campaign of blood accompanied the exit by this new opus.

With this comprising mixture of red ink and the true blood, the poster obtained was sold with the biddings with the profit of the American Red Cross.

Prohibition

The November 21st, the French Minister for the Culture, Renaud Donnedieu de Vabres, which viewed film, decided to follow the opinion of the Commission of classification of cinematographic works which had recommended to prohibit film with the minors. The film is interdict in France with less than 18 years because of its violence. The prohibition of a film to less than 18 years is a rare decision. It was restored in 2000 for the film " Kisses to me " of Virginia Despentes and applied since to a handle of feature-length films, primarily because of scenes with sexual character. Inconsistency related to the poster of film

In the audio comment of the DVD, the realizer explains that the character of Troy was initially to be connected by the teeth, instead of the being by the flesh of all its members. This is why the original poster of film (of the teeth which hangs with iron wire) does not correspond to any scene of film, but corresponded to the original story-board.

Saw IV

The Monday the 30th October 2006, Lionsgate announced their intention to produce new a opus for the 26 October 2007. Tobin Bell - the interpreter of the Killer has puzzle - will play in this opus.
