Savigny-sur-Ardres is a common French, located in the department of the Marne and the area Champagne-Ardenne.

History

Formerly known under the name of Sabiniacum (because pertaining to the field of the Roman Sabinus), Savigny-Sur-Ardres is located at approximately 25 km of Rheims, near the castle of Prin which lodged the Cardinal of Richelieu in July 1641 at the time of the stay in Rheims of Louis XIII.

May 21st, 1940 Colonel Charles de Gaulle pronounced the preview broadcast allowance there.
