  • Paul Grossin (1901-1990), general, director of SDECE (1957-1962)
Although born in Oran, in Algeria, the Grossin general was originating in Savigny-on-Aisne where its family was present since of very many generations. Besides he had there still a house, inherited his parents, and located on the place of Semi-the-City, and he returned there from time to time.
  • Christophe de Savigny (v.1530/1535 - v.1586), humanistic scientist of the Rebirth, author of a famous encyclopedic work " accomplished Tables of all the liberal arts "
Family member of the lords of the village, it lived with the castle seigneurial which seems to be located on the vast platform at south-west, with the place known as " the Farm of the haut".
