Savignac-Lédrier

Savignac-Lédrier is a common French, located in the department of the the Dordogne and the area Aquitaine.

Geography

The commune is located on the Rivière Auvézère. It touches the communes of Saint-Cyr-the-Champagnes, Saint-Mesmin, Lanouaille and Payzac. Its principal borough (the Vault) and two of its villages (Garanne and the Cross-Blackbird) are narrowly overlapping with the borough of Payzac. The two town halls are distant approximately 700 Mr.

History

During the creation of the French departments in 1790, the common one initially briefly belonged to the Corrèze before being attached in 1793 to the the Dordogne.
