Sauvagny
Sauvagny is a common French, located in the department Allier and the area Auvergne.
Geography
The village of Sauvagny is located in the middle of the Bocage Bourbonnais and saw primarily agriculture, in particular of the bovine breeding. Nevertheless, for a few years the village has turned to the Country holidays.
History
The city and the church were founded by the order of Templiers of Saint-Jean-of-Jerusalem. The church was sold like national good and remains private property still today.

Personalities related to the commune
The history of Sauvagny is closely related to the institution of the Templiers which founded the village, as to the prestigious family of Séguier which resides at it, and which contributed actively to the cultural radiation of France in the old mode (in particular by the protection of the French Academy).
