Sausseron
The Sausseron is a Rivière 19,7 km length, Affluent of the Oise, which runs primarily in the north of the department of the Val-d'Oise.
The course of Sausseron
This small river takes its source in the French Vexin with Neuville-Bosc (department of Oise), and runs out according to a western orientation/is before inflecting towards the south with Verville (Nesles-the-Valley) to throw itself in the Oise in extreme cases of Valmondois and Parmain (Val-d'Oise), vis-a-vis Isle-Adam.
It mainly runs out in the Regional natural park of French Vexin and gives its name to the Communauté of communes of the Valley of Sausseron and to the Canton of the Valley of Sausseron.

Hydrology
The flow of Sausseron was observed during one 39 years period (1968-2007), with Nesles-the-Valley, locality of the department of the Val-d'Oise, located at the level of its confluence with the Oise (ref.: ). The catchment area of the river is there of 101 km ², i.e. 98% of its totality.
The interannual medium flow or module of the river with Nesles-the-Valley is of 0,555 m ³ a second.
Sausseron presents seasonal fluctuations of flow very little marked. The high waters are held in winter and at the beginning of spring and are characterized by average monthly flows oscillating between 0,628 and 0,672 m ³ a second, from December to April included (with a maximum from January to March). As of at the end of April, the flow goes down very regularly to the low waters from summer which take place from July to September included, involving a fall of the monthly medium flow going up to 0,405 m ³ in August. But the fluctuations of flow are more marked according to the years and over moreover short periods.
With the low water level, the VCN3 can fall until 0,240 m ³, in the event of dry period quinquennial, that is to say 240 liters a second, which remains more than comfortable (see note).
As for the risings, they are not very important, even taking into account the very modest size of the catchment area of the river. The QIX 2 and QIX 5 are worth indeed respectively 1,6 and 2,1 m ³. The QIX 10 or calculated flow of decennial rising is of 2,5 m ³ a second, the QIX 20 of 2,8 m ³. As for the QIX 50, it is assembled to 3,2 m ³ a second (see note).
The recorded maximum instantaneous flow with Nesles-the-Valley was of 3,32 m ³ a second on December 5th, 1988, while the value maximum day laborer was of 2,94 m ³ a second on January 6th, 2001. If one compares the first of these values on a QIX scale exposed higher, one notes that this rising was more than of level cinquantennal, and thus very exceptional. On the whole, Sausseron is a river regular but not very abundant. The Lame of water past in its basin is of 173 millimetres annually, which is close to twice lower than the overall average to France all confused basins, and also largely lower than the average of the basin of the Oise (243 millimetres) and of the basin of the the Seine (more or less 240 millimetres). The specific Débit of the river (or Qsp) is assembled consequently at 5,5 liters a second and per square kilometer of basin.
