Sauli Niinistö
Sauli Niinistö (born the August 24th 1948 with Salo, Finland) is a Politician Finnish, party Kansallinen Kokoomus (preserving, Christian-Democrat). Former minister for finances and current vice-president of the European Investment Bank.
The January 15th 2006, it presents to the presidential election and arrives in second position with 24,1% behind the outgoing president Tarja Halonen who she, obtains 46,3%.
At the time of the second round, it is beaten with 48,2% by the outgoing president who obtains 51,8%.
He is the president of the Parliament since April 24th, 2007.
