Saul Tigh

Saul Tigh is a character of the Televised series Battlestar Galactica , interpreted by the actor Michael Hogan.

Saul Tigh is colonel, and the best friend of William Adama since many years. Like his father before him, it integrated the Colonial Fleet and became pilot of Viper. Man of a competence honourable but not exceptional, it did not go up as quickly in rank as Adama father, and became his second with the orders of the Galactica . He is discovered cylon at the end of the third season.

He missed his marriage, his wife Ellen being inaccurate and having finally left it. However, she survived the attack of the Cylon S and reconciled herself with him.

Man hard, likely, not very pleasant and limited, it is loved little of his men, which contrasts with admiration that Adama causes. There is however no jealousy between them. In addition, he is scoffed for his Alcoolisme which he trails since of the years. He is particularly hated by Kara Thrace, which treats it soak and even of bastard .

When the commander Adama was seriously wounded by Sharon Valerii, it had to take the command of the Fleet, the President Laura Roslin having been previously relieved. Its short command was a catastrophe, consent even of Tigh. Authoritative and not very diplomatic, it extended its unpopularity of Galactica to all the fleet and achieved the unanimity against him. It had to declare the martial Loi, a mutiny on the Gideon vessel finished in blood bath, Laura Roslin escaped from Galactica and finally the Fleet separated. It was not made request to return the command in Adama as soon as this one was restored, conscious of the damage which it had just made.

At the time of the installation of the Fleet on New Caprica, it left to the retirement and was reconciled with Kara Thrace. With Galen the Tyrol, it will be with the head of human resistance at the time of the catch of planet by Cylons.
