Sasha Waltz

Sasha Waltz , born the March 8th 1963, with Karlsruhe (Germany), is a choreographer and German dancer.

She begins the dance at the 5 years age with Waltraud Kornhaas, raises Mary Wigman, in Karlsruhe. From 1983 to 1986, she studies in School for New Dance Development with Amsterdam, then share for New York where she works with Pooh Kaye, Yoshiko Chuma and LISA Kraus.

In 1993, Sasha Waltz founds its own company Sasha Waltz & Guests with Jochen Sandig with Berlin.

It is currently director of the Schaubühne amndt Lehniner Platz in Berlin.
