Sarsonne

The Sarsonne is a French Rivière the Limousin, the tributary main thing of the Diège and tributary of a tributary of the the Dordogne.

Geography

It takes its source in the Creuse around 850 m of altitude in the south-east of the military camp of Courtine, on the commune of Saint-Martial-the-Old man.

It passes then in Corrèze where it sprinkles Couffy-on-Sarsonne then Ussel before joining the Diège out of left bank, four kilometers more to the south.

Inheritance

Ussel presents several historic sites:

  • the old city

  • the ducal house of Ventadour
  • the vault of Penitent blue the
  • the church Saint Martin's day
  • the Notre-Dame vault of Chabanne
