Sarrigné

Sarrigné is a common French, located in the department of Maine-et-Loire and the area Pays of the Loire.

Geography

Sarrigné is located at a score of kilometers in the east of the center of Angers, at 20 minutes in the car. In the network angevin, it is with the terminus of the line of bus 30 and of the school line Mr. Of the lines uniting it at the surrounding villages exist too.

History

The etymology of the name is dubious. Sarrigné was mentioned for the first time at the eleventh century (Sarrigneum or - gneium). In addition to a home seigneurial having been used as cure at last century, the borough includes/understands several houses of the eighteenth century. The church Our-lady dates from the eleventh century. It was rebuilt in 1350 for the needs for the population. It is probably the old vault seigneuriale. Life of the village

The village counts couples with children mainly. 124 pupils are provided education for in 5 classes at the school of the village, the Blue Cedar. The buildings of the school were completely renovated in 2000 and 2001. Sarrigné could tend to becoming a village-dormitory, this would not be the will of its elected officials and some of its inhabitants to maintain a village alive. Several sporting sections exist concerning the table tennis, the ball of fort and the gymnastics. There are also two theatrical sections, an adult and a child, and obviously a communal library. Events rythment the year, the such Saint John's day, and " Treads of Sarrigné" , race with foot of 10 km created in 2001 on the initiative of an inhabitant, who attracts a growing number of participants of the area, joined together 400 adult runners and 120 children in 2005.
