Sarratella is a common to the north of the Valencian community in Spain. It belongs to the Province of Castellón, in the Comarque of Plana Alta.
Geography
It is located in the septentrional part of comarque of Plana Baja in full Sierra of Engarcerán, and however in a very mountainous and abrupt zone.
The climate is Mediterranean, with the influence of the sea which is close; however its winters are cold.
One reaches this locality since Castellón by taking the CV-10 and then the CV-154.

It is based traditionally on agriculture in dry zone, with a prevalence of the culture of the olive-tree and the almond tree, and on the breeding.
History
It was called Sierra of Bierach and it belonged to the territory of the castle of Coves de Vinromà. Its first feudal lord was Don Blasco de Alagón. Like other seigniories of the zone, it entered the inheritance about Calatrava, passing then to the hands of Artal de Alagón until in 1294, it entered the field about the Temple. With the dissolution of this military kind by the pope and when was created on the territories of the crown of Aragon, the Order of Montesa, like successor of Templiers, Sarratella became seigniory of this Kind until 19th.
Monuments
- Hermitage of San Juan Nepomuceno. (XVIIIe century).
- Parroissiale Church. (XVIIIe century). Dedicated to San Miguel. It has a neo-classic frontage and an octagonal bell-tower.
- Ayuntamiento (town hall). Interesting building on the architectural level.
Festivals
- San Antonio. On January 17th is celebrated.
- employers' Festivals. They take place the week following third Sunday of aaût in the honor of San Miguel.
