Sarrancolin is a common French, located in the department of the Hautes-Pyrénées and the area the Midday-Pyrenees.
Geography
Located in the the Pyrenees:- Valley of Aure.
- Banks of the Neste of Aure and the Channel of Neste.
- Mountain S wooded.
- Peak of Montaut (1722 m), mount Aspet (1849 m), course Nesté (1887 m).
- Sources, torrents, cascades.
- Road tourist RD929.
- Connection with the valley of Nistos by the forest road of All, and the collar of Estivère, and the valley of Campan by the collar of Beyrède.
History

Seat of a Priory given in 952 to the Abbey of Simorre, by the count d' Aure.
- Glassmaking with the XVIe century; Foundry with the XVIIIe century; exploitation of the Marble of Sarrancolin which still provides materials of the Château of Versailles in activity
- Under the Ancien Mode, warlike procession with the Chapelle of Plantats, on February 22nd, per which Sarrancolin celebrated its delivery following a Bataille delivered against the Sarrasins (?).

Romance Church Saint-Ebons XIIe/XIIIe century: : plan in Greek Cross; Nave, Apse and arm of the 8 depth m transept, Bell-tower - square arrow turn of Slate to pinnacles and Romance bays with 3 curves, platforms, Capital X in leaf; mounting of Ebons saint in Copper enamelled and gilded XIIIe; roast Wrought iron XVIe, polygonal pulpit XVIe, Stalles Renaissance, pietà, Retable S and low-reliefs XVIIe; treasure.
- Vault Our-Lady-in Esplantas rebuilt in 1636 and with 19th.
- Old door of city, known as Tower of the Prison.
