Sarong
The sarong (of the Malayan sarung , " étui") is a rectangular fabric part from approximately 1 meter broad which one bent the 2 small sides together in order to form a cylindrical case. The sarong is traditionally carried in Southeast Asia.
Apart from the Southeast Asia, the word " sarong" simply took the direction of a fabric part which one rolls up around the bottom of the body and which one ties with the height hips.
The traditional sarong can be made various matters: cotton, silk, and now polyester. Its use is very broad, and goes from a clothing which one wears at home to be at ease, with a behavior of ceremony.
The traditional reason for the sarong is made up, either of crossed lines, or of squares.
The sarong can also be made out of fabric Ikat , or in other types of fabrics, for example songket and carpet in Indonesia.
