Sarek

Sarek is a character of the universe of fiction of Star Trek , interpreted by the actor Mark Lenard.

Biography

Born into 2164, Sarek is the father of Spock and ambassador of Vulcan near the Fédération of plain planets.

His first wife was a princess vulcaine with whom it had a son, Sybox, born into 2224. It Maria then with Human, Amanda Grayson, the mother of Spock. With died of this one into 2366, it is linked with Perrin, another human.

The relations between Sarek and Spock are icy, Sarek not having accepted that his/her son works for Starfleet and not for the scientific Académie of Vulcan.

In 2267, it is looked after by the doctor Leonard McCoy for cardiac problems. Of a very rare blood, the blood transfusion can be carried out only by his/her son.

In 2366, it is victim of the “Syndrome of Bendii”, which deteriorates the control of its emotions. To relieve its evil, it operates a mental fusion with the captain Jean-Luc Picard so that it preserves its Katra, his memory. Two years later, Sarek, then 202 years old, succumbs to the syndrome without being parvenu to reconcile itself with his/her son. By a new mental fusion, Picard transmits will katra it of Sarek with Spock.
