Sara Daniel

Sara Daniel is a journalist Frenchwoman, to defer Guerre, specialist in the the Middle East.

Biography

Graduate of the Institute of political studies of Paris and laid off History, it began its career of journalist to the the United States after a training course with the Washington Post. It there covers the movements of the Affirmative Action , the lawsuit of O.J. Simpson, and works more particularly on the American Extreme-right-hand side and the phenomenon of the Milice S. After the September 11th, 2001, it becomes corresponding of war, covers the Afghanistan then the Iraq where it is corresponding Nouvel Observateur to Baghdad. In Iraq, it succeeds in interviewing Omar Hadid, one of the authors of the first decapitations of hostage and the brother in arms of Abou Moussab Al-Zarqaoui, and it becomes one of the specialists in the Iraqi integrist guerillas. Its articles on Iraq are published in China, in the United States and in Europe. It received the price Hachette in 2006 for its article “GI in the Iraqi hell”.
