Santarém is a city Brésil ienne west of the State of the Pará, on the lower course of the Fleuve the Amazon, on the level of its confluence with the Rio Tapajós.

Geography

The city is located by a Latitude of 02° 26 ' 34" south and by a Longitude of 54° 42 ' 28" west, with a Altitude of 51 meters. Its population was estimated at: 276074 inhabitants in 2006. The municipality extends on: 22887 km ².
