The family of the Santalacées is a family of plants Dicotylédone S which includes/understands 400 species S divided into 38 kind S:
They are trees, shrubs and herbaceous plants, sometimes with reduced, partially parasitic sheets of the roots or air parts of the host, areas moderated with tropical.
In this family the Santal ( Santalum album ) provides wood and a scented gasoline. In Europe, it is represented by the Thesium S: they are herbaceous plants, grèles, semi-parasites, with sheets linear, alternate, with tiny flowers green-yellowish.
The Viscacées are now integrated into this family.
