Sansetsukon

The Sansetsukon or plague with three section (Chinese: 三節棍, sān jié gùn), is a weapon of Chinese origin consisted of three pieces of wood or metal, connected to each other by a metal cord or rings. It is a version larger and more complex than the Nunchaku.

It is one of the most current weapons of the Kobudō of Okinawa, with the Tonfa or the Kama.

This weapon is very old since it is mentioned in the Chroniques of the Three Kingdoms written in IIIeme century.

This weapon made it possible to strike with moreover long distances that the nunchaku. The combatant could moreover protect himself with this weapon while making him describe two circles on his sides.
