Sanofi Pasteur
Sanofi Pasteur is division vaccines of the pharmaceutical group Sanofi Aventis.
Historically, it is about the Mérieux institute, laboratory of micriobiology created to Lyon in 1897 per Marcel Mérieux, and taken again by his son Charles Mérieux (former student of the Institut Pasteur).
Passed under control of Rhône-Poulenc in 1968, the Institute will become Pasteur Mérieux, then Pasteur Mérieux Connaught, then Aventis Pasteur before becoming in 2004 Sanofi Pasteur.
