Sanjeev KUMAR

Sanjeev KUMAR (Hindi: संजीवकुमार) (July 9th 1938 - November 6th 1985) is Indian actor of the cinema of Bollywood. It was born with Mumbai from a family Gujarati, registered at the registry office like Harihar Jariwala. After being themselves tested with the theater and having attended a school of actors, it took down its first role with the cinema in 1960. It was to thereafter become a genuine star of Bollywood in the Seventies.

Career

It makes its beginnings in Hum Hindustani in 1960. The first film in which Sanjeev is the hero is Nishana in 1965. In 1968, it gives the counterpart to the famous actor Dilip KUMAR in Sanghash . In 1970, Khilona brings the celebrity to him. It continues its rise with popular successes Seeta Aur Geeta in 1972 and Manchali in 1973.

With beginning of the year 70 begins its collaboration with Gulzar, the famous director. He will play in nine films for Gulzar, of which Aandhi and Mausam in 1975, Angoor in 1981 and Namkeen in 1982. Many fans affirm that they are its best films.

It is always ready to endorse roles leaving ordinary, like challenges with its capacity to play. In 1977, he thus played Mirza, an inhabitant of Lucknow obsessed by the play of failures, in Shatranj Ke Khiladi (players of failures), of the independent realizer Satyajit Ray. Perhaps that its most memorable roles are those played in Sholay in 1975 and Trishul in 1978.

With beginning of the year 80, Sanjeev Kimar was satisfied with auxiliary roles. Gotten rid of by Hema Malini, to which it had made a proposal for a marriage, there remained unmarried. Ironically, for an actor who interprêté many old characters to the screen, it forever reached age the 50 years: in 1985, old only 47 years, he died of a cardiac disease.

After its death still 10 films left where it appears, the last being Professor Ki Padosan , in 1993. At the time of its death the film had been made only to the three quarter, also the realizer decided to modify the scenario to explain the absence of the character played by Sanjeev KUMAR. Another exit noticed after its death was that of film of K. Asif, Love and God , whose assembly was spread out over 20 years… After the death of the realizer K. Asif in 1971, the production had stopped and the film left only in 1986, in an unfinished form, one year after the death of Sanjeev KUMAR.
