Sanhédrin (סנהדרין) is one of the ten treaties of the order mishnic Nezikin, one of the most important sources of inspiration for the rabbinical Judaïsme. Interpretations, comments and developments of Sanhédrin by the Rabbis of the Talmud, are astonishing precursors of the principles of common Droit.
Nezikin is the order of the Damage, and is interested in the procedures of the courts. Sanhédrin is interested more particularly in the criminal and penal right.
