Sandycove

Sandycove is a small village of the Eastern coast of the Comté of Dublin in Ireland. While going towards the south, it is located between Dún Laoghaire and Glasthule on the one hand and Dalkey on the other hand.

James Joyce lived there some time in the Tour Martello located not far from the Forty Foot , a place of bath reserved to the men and whose peace and intimacy appreciated by the swimmers eroded much these last years.

Close to the sea front, one can see a typical house of the style Avant-garde, realized by Michael Scott, a famous architect of the 20th century, which in made its residence.
