Sands - the Vendée Newspaper
Sands - the Vendée Journal is a weekly magazine French of local information and legal and legal advertisements. It is also known under its old name of Journal of Sands .
History
Initially founded in 1851 with the Sands of Olonne (the Vendée) by the printer Jules Lambert, under the title “Sanded It, nonpolitical newspaper of the district of Sands of Olonne”, it becomes the “Newspaper of Sands” in 1856.He knows then various names:
- Newspaper of Sands and the Vendée (January 1865)
- Newspaper of Sands again (May 1883)
- Newspaper of Sands and Mail of the Vendée joined together , by fusion with Mail of the Vendée , transitory “twice-weekly republican newspaper” launched to Sands of Olonne in February 1898 (October 1898 - August 1914 - July 1919 - August 1944)

In 1908, the newspaper and printing works pass in the Doré family.
In 1991, the family Oboe-Gilded yields Sands - the Vendée Journal to the company Publihebdos, subsidiary of the Groupe Ouest-France.
In April 2002, at the time of its 150e birthday, the newspaper published an special issue of files on the “current events sablaises” treated by its successive writers.
