Sandanme
Sandanme (三段目) is the name of the fourth highest division in the classification of the fighters of Sumo.
Division sandanme represents the first level of evolution for a fighter in the course of formation: it is allowed to him to have more beautiful clothes than the fighters of lower divisions and to carry geta to the feet.
Division sandanme follows immediately division Makushita and precedes division Jonidan in the system of grading by the fighters of sumo. There are generally 200 fighters in sandanme.
