The San Pedro (Sampedro) or Trichocereus pachanoi (or Trichocereus pachanol or Trichocereus peruvianus = peruvian torch ) is a Cactus of South America.

Distribution

It pushes in the zones of altitude of the Andes cordillera.

Characteristic

It with the form of a Candle and can reach up to six meters in height.

Because of its rapid growth the San Pedro is the independent source of extracted Mescaline.
