San Juan is a Board game created by Andreas Seyfarth in 2004. It constitutes the version Card deck of the board game Puerto Rico.
For 2 to 4 players, as from 12 years for approximately 50 minutes.
Is the play available in German (at Alea ), Dutch ( Ravensburger ), English ( Rio Grande ), Japanese (??? ).
General principle
San Juan is a card deck for 2 to 4 players. The charts act at the same time of buildings to be built and currency (when a player builds a building, it must be trued of as many charts of its hand the cost of the building).
The charts are divided into two large groups:
- the charts of production which make it possible to draw from the charts thanks to a production process and sale.
- the charts violets which give varied no-claims bonus.
The charts violets can be subdivided in two sub-groups: those which offer a no-claims bonus " pratique" during the play (e.g to pay less expensive to build certain buildings) and those which offer additional points of victories. With each whole of table, each player chooses a role among the 5 available ones (each player must choose different). With each role an action corresponds that all the players can carry out when the role is selected. The player who chose the role has an advantage called privilege during the execution of the action.
Each built building brings back points of victory (indicated on each chart). When a player has 12 built buildings, the action of construction in progress is supplemented and the play is finished.
