San Jose de Jáchal
San Jose de Jáchal is a city of the North-East of the province of San Juan in Argentina, located in the Andes, with the crossing of two important trunk roads, the trunk road 40 energy of north in the south, and the trunk road 150 which goes from is in west. The city is in the south of the Río Jáchal. It is the chief town of the Département of Jáchal and is to 153 km of the town of San Juan. It was founded the June 25th 1571 by Juan de Echegaray. It carries the nickname of " Cuna of Tradición" what means " Cradle of Tradition".
In 2001, it counted 10.993 inhabitants, which represented an increase in 13,0% with respect to the 9.726 of the year 1991. That located it at the 5th place among agglomerations of the province.
