San Antonio of los Cobres

San Antonio of los Cobres is a small town with the mid-west of province of Salta, in Argentinian. It is the chief town of the Département of Los the Andes. In the city located at 3.775 meters of altitude, the Tren passes has tired nubes or Train of the clouds which, started from Salta, crosses impressive ravines before arriving at the city. This train does not function any more since 2005

Its population was assembled to 5  482 inhabitants in 2001, is 90% of the population of the department of which it is the chief town.

Let us add that the city is with the intersection of legendary the trunk road 40 Argentina and of the trunk road 51 (which leads to the border Chile enne). These legendary roads are in fact of the tracks, the only asphalted part being the crossing of the city.
