San-Pedro
San Pedro is a big city of the South-west of the Ivory Coast at the edge of the Ocean. It is administratively located in the Région of Bas-Sassandra. It was " découverte" by the Portuguese Soerire Da Costa 5 centuries ago which baptized it name of patron saint of the day. One of its districts, the Bardo , is regarded as largest Bidonville of the West Africa. San Pedro it is also and before a a whole tourist big city with the natural beaches where many tourists will rest constantly year. The temperatures remain high thanks to a splendid weather.
Port
It is the second port of the country after Abidjan. The fishing is an important activity of the city there.
Economy
San Pedro offers to the investors a framework quiet and favorable to the businesses. Many hotels did not cease leaving ground in San Pedro since the independence of the Ivory Coast. Many cultures such as the Hévéa, the Palm tree with oil, the Cacaoyer… enrich the area doing by San Pedro one of the most dynamic cities of the country.

Tourism
The beaches attract visitors. The Bar, phenomenon which prohibits the bathe on almost all the Golfe of Guinea is unknown there.

The city is the chief town of the department of the Bas-Sassandra. A law of 1978 instituted 27 communes of full exercise on the territory of the country.
