San-Martino-di-Lota
San-Martino-di-Lota is a common French, located in the department of the Haute-Corse and the Corsica area . Its inhabitants is San-Martinois.
Geography
San-Martino-di-Lota is a commune of the agglomeration Bastia ise. Included/understood between Santa-Maria-di-Lota and City-di-Pietrabugno on the southern Eastern coast of the Corsica Cape, its territory goes down from Assembles Pinatella (964 m) in the west and of the point of Guaitella (675 m) in the south, territory which the watershed separates from Farinole. The commune occupies the valley of Grisgione, brook resulting from two rus upstream (Milaja and Fornelli), as well as southern bank of Miomu.
Navy
The picturesque D80 road crosses, of north in the south, the marines of Grisgione and Petranera . These primarily residential hamlets present each one some old houses, old a turn génoise ruined and a pebble beach. Their modern habitat expanding in fact of the suburbs distant from Bastia.
Hamlets
The nine hamlets of peak are served by the RD31 which curves of Ville to Santa-Maria, some communal roads, as well as the RD131 which connects Petranera to the collar of Anetu. Economy and local life
The resources of the commune are primarily agricultural (olive-tree S, Châtaignier S).The parish fair takes place the November 11th (holy Martin). At the time of the Holy Week, one witnesses many ceremonies. The Maundy Thursday is devoted to the clothes industry of fùgacce (cakes) and the following day, Good Friday, a procession makes it tower of the pieve of Lota with religious objects made in palm S. the braiding of the Palms of the Branches is in particular very active with the brotherhood Holy-Cross, where it remains since the 14th century, and of many objects of palm (cross, fish and others) remain exposed in the Saint Martin's day church.

- Marcucci : poet of the 19th century.
- François Coli: the family of this aviator was originating in San-Martino-di-Lota.
- Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, the writer and aviator, remained there and it was its last residence before the flight of 1944, since the aerodrome of Borgo, during which it disappeared.
