Samuel Zygelbojm

Samuel (Szmul) Zygelbojm , pseudo Artur (1895 with Borowica - May 12th 1943 with London), Politician Polish, activist of Bund, general secretary of the Jewish section of the Central Commission of the Polish Working Trade unions. Journalist in the Arbeter Fragen , elected local official of Warsaw and Łódź. After the countryside of September 1939 in emigration. Member of the Polish National council in London like representative of Bund.

After the end of the insurrection of the Ghetto of Warsaw, the May 12th 1943, it committed suicide to protest against the dumbness of Allied vis-a-vis the genocide of the Juif S: “By my death, I would like, for the last time, to protest against the passivity of a world which attends the extermination of the Jewish people and admits it”.
