Samuel Doe

Samuel Doe (May 6th 1951 - September 9th 1990) was a soldier and a Politician bast, dead assassinated.

Coup d'etat of 1980

Former sergeant, trained by the green Berets American, it seizes the power with the Liberia in 1980 by a coup d'etat (April 12th 1980). He becomes president about it.

Its predecessor William Tolbert is killed. Doe makes assassinate all the government as a public.

Resulting from the ethnos group Krahn (tribe of African descent), Doe will tend to support its ethnos group of origin. It first of all obtains the support of the US government under the presidency of Ronald Reagan, but gradually loses it because of corruption and of the unpopularity of its mode.

Many a coups d'etat will try of the détrôner.

Assassination in 1990

In 1990, Liberia rocks in the civil war. Prince Yormic Jonhson (" Independent Face ") and Charles Taylor (" NPLF ") are with the head of two rebellious groups.

Samuel Doe is captured by the troops of Yormic Johnson . He dies under torture: two ears torn off, the mutilated penis, trailed naked in the streets of Monrovia.

A video is filmed whose images will shock the international community; it will be diffused during a few years in the countries of West Africa. It shows in particular Johnson drinking a beer while one tears off an ear with Doe.

He was recognized like an enemy relentless of freemasonry.
