Samir Amin
Samir Amin (born the September 3rd 1931) is a political author Egyptian. He currently lives with Dakar with the Senegal.
Amin was born with the Cairo. His/her parents were both doctors (his/her father was Egyptian and its French mother). It passed its childhood and its adolescence to Port-Saïd where it followed the courses of a French school and obtained its baccalaureat in 1947. From 1947 to 1957, he studies in Paris, and takes down a diploma of political sciences (1952) before his diploma in statistics (1956) and economy (1957). In its autobiography intellectual Itinéraire (1990) it writes that in order to spend a substantial time in " action militante" it could devote only one minimum of work to the preparation of its university examinations.

In 1963 He was offered has fellowship At the African Institut of Economic development and Planning (IDEP). Until 1970 He worked there ace well ace being has professor At the university off Poitiers, Dakar and Paris (off Paris VIII, Vincennes). In 1970 He became has chief off the IDEP, which He managed until 1980. In 1980 Amin left the IDEP and became has director off the Third World Forum in Dakar.
