Samba C enredo
Literally samba of the " thème" , the samba enredo belongs to the songs of the Carnaval of Rio (Brésil).
The samba of enredo succeeded the Valse S and Marche S which accompanied at the beginning of the 19th century the festivities by the carnival with Rio de Janeiro.
When the rhythmic one of the samba gains the street, the first carnavalesques organizations of district, cordões and blocos , yield the place to the schools of samba.
Since the years 1920, the repertory of the samba enredo became enormous, supplied with the contribution of a crowd of schools of samba. Each one indeed presents its annual song on a definite topic (enredo) at the time of the contest which is held in February in the sambodrome.
With the years, the shape of text spread, the structure “verse-refrain-verse-refrain”, constituting the ideal model of song of the carnival.
