Saman Khoda

Saman Khoda سامانخدا , also Sāmān Khudā , is a Persan (Tajik) of Central Asia, ancestor of the dynasty Samanide.

Saman lived in first half of the VIII {{E}} century and one supposes that it is downward of the general Sassanide Bahram Chobin, noble of a former Iranian family: the feudal family Mehran, which played a big role in the history of the Sassanides last.

Saman was noble a zoroastrien, which was allowed at the court of the governor Califal of the Khorassan, Asad ibn “Abd-Allah Al-Qasri (723 - 727). At the Court of Asad, Saman, impressed by the piety of this last, converts with the Islam.

Saman named his/her son Asad in the honor of Caliph Al-Mamun. The Caliph named wire of Asad governors of Samarkand, Ferghana, Shash, Ustrushana and Herat for their good and faithful services thus sealing the foundation of this dynasty.

Today in Tadjikistan, Saman is regarded as the father of the nation Tadjik. The name " Saman-khoda" is currently a title which means " owner of (of the grounds of) Saman". The localization of the grounds and the ancestors of Saman Khuda is prone to controversy.

In Tadjikistan, places bear today still the names of Amirs of this dynasty. As a monument of 40 meter in Height of Ismail Samani to Dushanbe with the Tadjikistan builds in 2000 and the Pic Ismail Samani in the Pamir (in the past called Pic of Communism).

The current branch of the Jeunes Pioneers in Tadjikistan has as a name King Somoni Inheritance in the honor of Saman Khuda.
