Sam Cooke , is an American singer of Soul music and Rhythm and blues, born the January 22nd 1931 in the state of the the Mississippi, deceased the December 11th 1964.

It begins its career at 19 years by singing Gospel within the group The Soul Stirrers . With the passing of years it transforms the gospel into a kind which belongs to him, that one names today the Soul music.

As of his more young age, Sam Cooke always wanted to allure the public, which he managed to achieve. He was one of the best friends of Mohammed Ali, which regarded it as “the largest singer of drunk person of all times”.

Sam Cooke with his charisma, his sensual voice and his single songs in their kind had a phenomenal success near the female gente. Its songs continue to charm, in particular with titles like Just for you , Wonderful world or Cupid , which represents only one negligible part of its repertory.

Many large artists took as a starting point Sam Cooke and took again certain titles of its repertory, in particular Rod Stewart and Otis Redding.

Sam Cooke died tragically, under conditions described as “suspect”.
