Salvérius
Louis Salvérius , known as Salvérius or Salvé (born in 1935 with Soignies - died on May 22nd 1972) is an author of Belgian Cartoon.
Biography
After a military service in the armor-plated infantry, Louis Salvérius is engaged in 1956 at the office of drawing of the Editions Dupuis. He carries out illustrations for Risque-Tout , of letterings for Robbedoes , of the cross grids of words and the adaptations of drawings for the editions out of pocket of traditional of the editor.
In 1959, it published its first cartoon, advertizing executive, for the drink Cécémel and publishes some Mini-account S in Spirou . One sees there already his attraction for the Far-west: the law of the scalp (on a text of Yvan Delporte), Stories of Indians (with Maurice Rosy), etc
Appeared in mini-accounts in 1961, Tim and Tom (parodic western on scenarios of Jacques Devos) is his first series. Follow, in the same vein Whamoka and Whikilowat (adventures of two Redskins, still imagined by Devos) and Petit Cactus (on a scenario of Paul Deliège).
In 1969, Raoul Cauvin proposes the scenario of the blue Tuniques to him, great series to follow supposed to fill the vacuum left by the departure of Lucky Luke with Pilote . Charles Dupuis, convinced, releases it from its obligations at Dupuis to engage it in its seraglio of draftsman.
He dies in 1972, leaving an unfinished adventure, Outlaw , finished by Lambil, which then becomes the appointed draftsman of the series.
