Salmo Linnaeus, 1758, is a kind of Poisson of the family of the Saumon S (Salmonidae) which includes/understands many species of Saumon S and of Truite S. the typical example is the salmon of the Atlantic, Salmo salar .
The generic name Salmo drift of the Latin salmō (salmon).
