Salmanazar III
Salmanazar III , king of Assyrie of -858 with -824 front J. - C. It widens the Assyrian empire of Karkemish towards the Taurus and the south until Damas where it enters in conflict with the kingdoms araméens of Syria and their allies of Palestine (Bataille of Karkar), to also see under the name of Bataille of Qarqar (853 av. J. - C.). At the end of its reign, it devastates Parsua (Perse) in the north of Assyrie. His/her son Assur-daN-apal starts a civil war against his father (-827/-820) who is subdued by his other wire and successor Shamshi-Adad V. With its death, Assyrie knows one period of instability.
