Salinas there Aguada Blanca
The National Réserve Salinas Aguada Blanca was created there the August 9th 1979. It is in the areas Peruvian of Arequipa (provinces of Arequipa and Caylloma) and Moquegua (General Sánchez Cerro). It has a surface of 366.936 Hectare S.
The zone includes/understands several Volcan S of the central volcanic Zone of the Andes like el Misti, the Pichu Pichu, the Chachani, the Tacune and the Ubinas, of the mountains and the lakes, of which among the latter the laguna Salinas which is a salted lake.
One finds there many species of birds and mammals of which:
- the Flamingo of the Andes,
- the Flamingo of Chile,
- the Andean stag (or taruca),
- the Vicuna.
